Required Tools:
8mm wrench
Step 1: Remove the Ball Mount from the Pole
Direction of the bolts does not matter
Remove the three bolts from the assembly
Separate the ball mount from the pole collar
Step 2: Bolt the Bottom of the Ball onto the Ball Mount
Place the nut in the backside of the ball mount
Align the ball with the round plate with the hole on the bottom of the ball mount
Place the shorter (20mm) bolt through the ball plate and tighten by hand until you can no longer tighten
Step 3: Slide the Ball Mount Around the Pole Collar
If it won’t slide on, check that the thumb bolt is not too far in
Step 4: Line Everything Up
Line up the RAM round plate holes with the RAM mount holes. Prepare to insert bolts through the pole collar.
Step 5: Insert Bolts
Insert the included bolts through the mounting holes in the ball plate and into the collar.
The bolts slide through the pole collar; If you have issues getting the bolts to go all the way through, slightly separate the ball mount and pole mount and proceed to push the bolts through
Step 6: Hand Tighten Bolts
Place the nuts in the slots and tighten the bolts as they come through
Tighten by hand until you no longer can tighten
Step 7: Use 8mm Wrench to Tighten Bolts
Use 8mm to tighten each of the three bolts.
Turn clockwise to tighten
Press the nut in the backside of the longer bolts to prevent the nuts from spinning in their place
Tighten until barely snug
Step 8: If Mount Does Not Spin Freely, Loosen the Longer Two Bolts Slightly
Do not overtighten. The mount will not spin freely when over tightened
Slide the ball mount assembly back onto the pole. Note the extrusion on the inside of the pole collar that must line up with the groove in the pole
Attach your arm to the ball and 2nd ball
