Stratum Outdoors Ball Mount Assembly Instructions

Compatible with Stratum Transducer Pole. Stratum Ball and arms sold separately.
Note: If the mount does not spin freely, slightly loosen the bolts.

Required Tools:

  • 8mm wrench

Step 1: Remove the Ball Mount from the Pole

Direction of the bolts does not matter

  1. Remove the three bolts from the assembly

  2. Separate the ball mount from the pole collar

Step 2: Bolt the Bottom of the Ball onto the Ball Mount

  1. Place the nut in the backside of the ball mount

  2. Align the ball with the round plate with the hole on the bottom of the ball mount

  3. Place the shorter (20mm) bolt through the ball plate and tighten by hand until you can no longer tighten

Step 3: Slide the Ball Mount Around the Pole Collar

  1. If it won’t slide on, check that the thumb bolt is not too far in

Step 4: Line Everything Up

  1. Line up the RAM round plate holes with the RAM mount holes. Prepare to insert bolts through the pole collar.

Step 5: Insert Bolts

  1. Insert the included bolts through the mounting holes in the ball plate and into the collar.

  2. The bolts slide through the pole collar; If you have issues getting the bolts to go all the way through, slightly separate the ball mount and pole mount and proceed to push the bolts through

Step 6: Hand Tighten Bolts

  1. Place the nuts in the slots and tighten the bolts as they come through

  2. Tighten by hand until you no longer can tighten

Step 7: Use 8mm Wrench to Tighten Bolts

  1. Use 8mm to tighten each of the three bolts.

  2. Turn clockwise to tighten

  3. Press the nut in the backside of the longer bolts to prevent the nuts from spinning in their place

  4. Tighten until barely snug

Step 8: If Mount Does Not Spin Freely, Loosen the Longer Two Bolts Slightly

  1. Do not overtighten. The mount will not spin freely when over tightened

  2. Slide the ball mount assembly back onto the pole. Note the extrusion on the inside of the pole collar that must line up with the groove in the pole

  3. Attach your arm to the ball and 2nd ball

  4. Start scanning for fish!
